George Kernan Large Raku Bowl
George Kernan Large Raku Bowl
$750.00
"After painting in oils on canvas since 1965, He wondered what it would be like to work with mixed-media,” writes Kernan. “In the early 1980s, he also began to work in clay, painting with glazes on vessels, sculpted pieces and flat surfaces. He kiln-fired the work, applying the ancient Japanese technique, Raku. For a period of time this was very challenging and rewarding, teaching him strong discipline techniques.” This piece can be hung on the wall.
