About the artist: In the early 1960s George P. Mullen arrived in Santa Barbara, California having spent many years studying art and design, and working as in interior designer and artist. With his wife Theresia he set up a small company that produced unique furniture of his own design. In the mid-1970s when the business could no longer compete with large volume manufactures George focused on his art and worked in virtually every medium creating numerous pieces through the early 2000s. He particularly focused on carved wood pieces both large and small.
